Patrick Blount is a full time artist blacksmith and sculptor.  He focuses much of his work on reflecting what he calls the “broken human condition of modern prosperity.”  Working mainly in Steel, he strives to create work with both longevity and grace. He uses both traditional and contemporary methods.  “Steel is a very stubborn material to work with, yet it is very eager to please. I assimilate with this quite a bit.”
